So How Does This Work?
Creating a forever keepsake out of your flowers does require a little bit of pre-planning! We HIGHLY recommend booking in advance for planned events.
Booking ahead of time allows us to provide accurate timelines and ensures we have materials on hand. With unplanned events, such as a memorial, please reach out directly and we will create a plan specific to your needs. We will always have availability for memorial preservations.
What to Expect:
- To hold your spot, we require a signed contract and a $100.00 deposit. This serves as “Payment 1”.
- Your flowers will dry for quite awhile. We leave your flowers in the drying agent until time to go in resin.
- 4 weeks later: 50% of your remaining balance is due. This serves as “Payment 2”. The final payment, “Payment 3”, is due upon completion. Items are held until paid. Tax is added to the total.
- Items are placed in order for production based on the timing of Payment 2. The second payment is needed to start pouring resin.
- Estimated turnaround time is 3-6 months, with timely payments.
- Drop off is at my home in Clay County. (A Jacksonville drop off is possible.)
- Drop off of flowers is preferred within 48 hours of your event, the sooner is better. You are welcome to bring more flowers than just your bouquet, such as centerpieces or bridesmaids’ bouquets as well.
Keep in Mind:
Some flowers, such as a protea, may require a longer dry time. After the flowers have dried, we will begin the design layouts. The condition of the flowers can drive the design process. Roses dry very well and can withstand handling once dried, but others are more fragile and shouldn’t be handled more than necessary.
Typically, clients leave the designs to us, but should you want design approval – just let us know. Once we have a design in place, we start pouring the resin. Due to the nature of how resin works, we pour in thin layers over several days. The slower the process, the better the result!
After the last layer is poured, we de-mold, add any finishing touches and allow to cure 7-10 days. Currently, our production time is about 3 months from receipt to delivery.
